Welcome to Handmade by Pmaccay—where every piece tells a story. I hope you find something here that resonates with your spirit.

✦ Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Pauline (she/her), a Filipina American artist and designer from the Bay Area. I started Handmade by Pmaccay because I’ve always loved big, bold earrings, but I couldn’t find ones that truly felt like me. So I decided to make my own.

What began as a creative outlet turned into a way to celebrate culture, confidence, and connection. My jewelry is all about expressing who you are—loudly, proudly, and unapologetically. Every piece is inspired by the people who’ve lifted me up and encouraged me to keep going, especially when things felt hard.

I studied sculpture at UC Berkeley, but I fell in love with clay long before that. I use polymer clay to craft statement pieces that look bold but feel super lightweight, so you can wear them all day and still feel like yourself.

Growing up, I didn’t see many Filipinx American artists in this space. That’s why this brand exists—to help change that narrative, to uplift others, and to create jewelry that reminds you of your worth, your roots, and your power.

A portion of every sale supports local nonprofits because giving back is part of the story too.

You deserve to feel seen, celebrated, and strong in what you wear.
I hope these pieces help you do just that.

The Process

I begin by mixing together various types of polymer clay to create a sturdy base. Then I add various pigments together to make a desired color before I cut them into shape. From there, I bake the batch until it becomes sturdy yet bendable. Once cooled, the clay goes through a process of sanding, buffing, coating, and drilling before adding brass or pressed plant accents. There are also certain pairs of earrings I paint specific designs over and apply gold flakes and a resin finish.

Violá, a statement piece is created!

Since these are created by hand and at home it may include some beautiful imperfections.

Jewelry Care

Polymer clay is durable and bendy. However, sharp objects may scratch the surface so it is best to store it in its own jewelry compartment. To clean polymer clay jewelry, wipe it off with a piece of soft fabric. Rubbing alcohol can be applied to wipe away stains such as make up. To maintain the pressed plant accents it’s best to store the piece in a shaded area. Brass can tarnish overtime when exposed to humidity, but can be easily cleaned with a mixture lemon and baking soda.

I value inclusion and unity in my community.
A portion of funds from every purchase goes to a local community nonprofit.
Please know that your desire for these statement pieces are helping supply the needs of those who require the most help in our community.
